If you have casings from a military funeral honors ceremony — a 21-gun salute, a service member's own brass, or another meaningful piece — we'll slice and finish them into a lasting keepsake. This service works for both brass pistol or rifle casings and shotgun shell hulls.
This isn't something we treat like a standard order. Every casing that comes through this service is inspected by hand, precision-cut, and individually hand-filed to remove any sharp edges and ensure a smooth, rounded finish — the same careful process we use on our own inventory, given the same attention regardless of whether the brass is ours or yours. This is priced to cover our real cost of handling, compliance labeling, and return shipping, not as a profit item — our goal is simply to help you preserve something meaningful. This service is strictly for inert, spent cases — live ammunition cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
How It Works
- Order the tier that matches your quantity, or contact us first if you have more than 10 pieces or any questions.
- Tell us: the caliber or gauge, whether you'd like the primer left in or removed (deprimed slices leave an open hole, which some families use to add a small crystal, a ribbon, or a chain), and whether you'd like them cleaned and polished or left in their original, as-recovered condition.
- We'll send you compliance labeling inserts and product identifiers at no charge. These must be included in your shipment for it to comply with shipping regulations — we'll provide clear instructions on how to include them.
- Ship your casings to us, with the provided labeling included, following the shipping instructions we send. We strongly recommend shipping with tracking (UPS or USPS) given the sentimental value of these items.
- We'll slice, hand-inspect, and hand-file each piece to remove sharp edges and ensure a smooth, rounded result.
- We'll return your finished pieces along with any of your original casings beyond what was sliced.

Q: What if my item gets lost in the mail? A: We are not responsible for items lost in the mail, shipped to the wrong address, or delayed by the carrier. Because these items are often irreplaceable, we strongly recommend shipping with tracking through UPS or USPS, and holding onto your tracking number until the process is complete.
Q: What if I want the primer left in, or removed? A: Either is fine — it's your keepsake. Some families prefer primer left in for an authentic look; others prefer it removed so the open hole can hold a small crystal, wire, or ribbon.
